At LGBT Metalheads, we recognize a future where both metal music and LGBT rights are more accepted. It is also a future where LGBT musicians and fans feel at home in the metal community.

I came out as bisexual at 19. At the time there was very little presence of a online LGBT community that liked heavier music. I started listening to metal before coming out, and later had the idea to start the LGBT Metalheads group on Facebook. Since then, my fellow admins and I have helped many people feel comfortable with their sexuality within a hyper masculine genre. I want this website to continue a community that my idea gave birth to.
